Process for Submitting Slides for Examination

1. To submit slides for examination, first determine if you will need courier pick up or not. 
2. For slides requiring courier pickup, complete the Courier Form (PDF)
3. For slides that do not require courier pickup, complete the FedEx Delivery Form (PDF)
4. Once you have completed the correct form, email the form to: dermatopathology@ucsd.edu

Timetable

Our rapid turnaround time significantly reduces patient anxiety surrounding the skin biopsy.  

• Routine specimens: 24-hour lab-to-clinic turnaround
• Complex studies: within 24-72 hours
